The NHS would like to reassure local residents that the NHS 111 urgent care service in south Essex is working well and that patients can be confident of getting a good quality service. It stresses that patients calling the number over the busy bank holiday period received a speedy and efficient service.
Castle Point & Rochford CCG is urging parents and guardians of 10 -16 year olds to check whether their child has had both of their MMR jabs.
If they have not had the required two doses of the vaccine or you are not sure, contact your local GP surgery to discuss and arrange getting the MMR jabs. Young people who are aged 16 and over, and who are uncertain about their immunisation status should also come forward to get vaccinated. Everyone can have the vaccine as long as it is medically advisable for them to do so.
