Our older population is rising rapidly. That means increased pressure on the NHS and social care, particularly as our local community gets older. We want to celebrate ageing, not see it as a problem.
We want to be bold and look at how we can redesign the system to do things better with the money we have, how we can improve services by making them Simpler, Better, Together.
In partnership with Essex County Council, we are looking at how both health and social care services can be more person-centric, integrated and outcomes-focused.
We are at the beginning of this journey and want to know what local residents and our partners think. We need you to help us find the right solution. We need to know what matters to you so we can improve the quality of care, access to care and experience of care for years to come.
We have started to seek views on how health and social care services can best be provided in Castle Point and Rochford in years to come. We ran an eight-week public engagement exercise between January and March 2016. You can download the engagement document and the final report which includes key findings below:
We would like to thank all those who participated in our engagement exercise.
We are keen to continue engaging with our residents and partners throughout the process. There will be more opportunities to get more involved and give us your views in the future.
We are holding an Effective Local Engagement Event in July 2016. Click here for more details.
There are a number of ways you can get involved:
